Fighter

Fighters are the kings of martial combat, and are well trained in proper usage of weapons and armor. Often fighters have learned their craft in time served as a soldier, others (especially the well off) have been taught by a mentor. Fighters excel at any profession where they can take advantage of their talents, be it thug or honor guard, footman or officer.

Statistics

  • Hit Die: d10
  • Alignment: Any
  • Weapon Proficiencies: Simple and martial weapons.
  • Armor Proficiencies: All armors and shields.
  • Skill points at 1st Level: 4 + Int modifier
  • Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 4 + Int modifier
  • Multiclassing: Fighters may not multiclass as Brawlers.

Proper Form

A fighter knows how to strike, how to block, even how to stand and breathe properly in melee combat. The fighter gets a bonus die that can be used each turn for one of the following, chosen at the start of their turn:

  • Add the bonus to their attacks rolls for the turn.
  • Add the bonus to their damage rolls for the turn.
  • Add the bonus to their to their AC (dodge bonus) until the start of their next turn.
  • Add the bonus to CMB/CMD checks for the turn.
